Final Project Proposal
For my final project, i am going to design a tutorial that will educate web.20 users about the social media network website; Twitter. Twitter is a social network site which allow its users to stay informed about what's happening all around the world, users can create an account and follow various users as well. Developing this tutorial is very important because to my surprise many people are still not familiar with twitter or some people are familiar with it but they are not well informed on how it works and operate. This tutorial will address and answer those questions and concerns.
As stated above, this tutorial will be most geared towards web 2.0 users, this tutorial will be developed using Microsoft word and will include pictures and examples as well as thorough information users need to know. It will also include a practice section where users will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned and return feedback, there will also be quiz questions that will gauge the learners knowledge of the topic. This tutorial will also be divided section by section to avoid information overload.
As the lesson progresses, numerous updates will be posted on this blog as well as any thoughts and observations i have made during the development and implementation of the project.
Shawn,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Perhaps I will learn a thing or two about twitter. One question -- What media will you use to share your tutorial? I know you will make it in MSword. But what social media will you use to share it with your learners?
I am planning on creating a PowerPoint Presentation that will summarize all the key concepts of the MSword file as well as major points that will help make the transition to Twitter easy and hassle free. I am also exploring options of using Slideshare to share it with my learners, Slideshare.net allows users to upload documents and presentations that can be viewed by users/learners.
ReplyDeleteSounds great Shawn. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of learning more about Twitter and how to use it in the classroom. Can't wait to see how it goes for you.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, Shawn - especially for someone like me who tweeted for the first time as part of this class! There are parts of it I'm still not sure about, so I'm looking forward to learning from your project.
